The five participating jewelers are Caliah Lyon of Muse Fine Jewelry, Candy Cerveau owner and designer of .::eyecandy::., Kesseret Steeplechase the face behind KessKreations, Saiyge Lotus genius behind Balderdash and Violet Voltaire of EGL Jewelry & Accessories. The Amoire: A Jewelry Showcase, unfortunately, is no longer running but you can visit any of above mentioned jewelers to purchase merchandise. I apologize to the Saiyge Lotus and Violet Voltaire for not being able to post the last segments featuring their work until after the showcase had concluded.<br /><br />There are many people I admire in Second Life, talented, artistic and giving, one such is Saiyge Lotus, owner and visionary designer behind the Balderdash brand. Attention to detail is paramount to Saiyge and shows in every build, design and texture she produces. Talented beyond belief she is widely known in Second Life for incredibly tiny prim work. Delicate chains, fragile metalwork and impossibly detailed designs are a hallmark of Balderdash jewelry. Patience and Starlight, both release at The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase are intricately worked pieces that are highlighted with creativity and ingenuity. Think outside the box and pair one of these sets with haute couture, Goren or Steampunk and I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.<br /> <br />Starlight, Starbright, a scrolled set that includes choker, ring, earrings, barrette and bracelet are worked from fine gossamer silver that resting on attachment points. Intertwined and hanging from slivers of chain are a celestial feast of half moons and stars. While many would think of only wearing such a set with an ethereal gown or something equally as delicate it works well with many styles and is a softening accent to many styles and looks.<br /><br />Patience is a large set that includes belt, choker, earrings and a bracelet, and available in three stone choices, Malachite, Tiger eye, and Blue Goldstone. Woven leather and hematite beading lend this a very boho feel. The choker wraps the neck with a beaded accent resting in the small of the throat and is perfect for rounded necklines or off the shoulder wear. The versatility of the belt alone makes this set a must buy purchase.Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-42315041956779304442009-03-22T13:30:00.001-05:002009-03-22T13:33:27.111-05:00The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase - Kesseret Steeplechase<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjspKK1JiniJqoIgFUXhY41tZwg_wTFLFlZOoIwCeWvJczLa_hdcd04ipP2tH_ubrAMv0B0OOmxaUn0V-Su2u-guYqc-ISCTSTOsH4xbF4_FsQabcBl3tbVrntg-l0k4JmFsKyjjIw_on4/s1600-h/Kessfinal2.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjspKK1JiniJqoIgFUXhY41tZwg_wTFLFlZOoIwCeWvJczLa_hdcd04ipP2tH_ubrAMv0B0OOmxaUn0V-Su2u-guYqc-ISCTSTOsH4xbF4_FsQabcBl3tbVrntg-l0k4JmFsKyjjIw_on4/s320/Kessfinal2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316081635454673874" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvaGFgag-B9tXpLjrlmOILtkMFu89q8iJDqQqcQtXQdp1gZ7EL6wgUNVmIkkFElZkYpvzrXxM7XP7ue0n36EVXoHYrVCF3k9cYdGCy6joveXGTjAr7yZviLmTlU_eFah9s9cuqvxBkkVw/s1600-h/Kessfinal1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvaGFgag-B9tXpLjrlmOILtkMFu89q8iJDqQqcQtXQdp1gZ7EL6wgUNVmIkkFElZkYpvzrXxM7XP7ue0n36EVXoHYrVCF3k9cYdGCy6joveXGTjAr7yZviLmTlU_eFah9s9cuqvxBkkVw/s320/Kessfinal1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316081630620083010" /></a><br />The following is the third segment of a five part review covering The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase. The five participating jewelers are Caliah Lyon of Muse Fine Jewelry, Candy Cerveau owner and designer of **Eye Candy**, Kesseret Steeplechase the face behind KessKreations, Saiyge Lotus genius behind Balderdash and Violet Voltaire of EGL Jewelry & Accessories. The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase is running until March 22. <br /><br />Kesseret Steeplechase, the prolific designer behind KessKreations, delivered a treat to all who visited The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase currently being held in Platinum. A plethora of new pieces were presented and all included menu driven customization. It is simply wonderful to see items that can be individualized to this extreme.<br /><br />AnnMarie is a complete set containing necklace, ring, and earrings which is menu driven to allow one to transform each piece for individual taste and outfits. Annmarie carries with it an aura of romance with the necklace softly draping the neck to rest lightly on the shoulders. Comprised of glowing pearls adorned with a cluster of color changing rosettes to accent the curve of the jaw line, it is the perfect accessory for any flowing formal. Earrings and ring, also adorned with color changing rosettes unify the set. Menu driven options include metal textures of gold, platinum and zirconium as well as 10 choice in colors for the roses.<br /> <br />Codie, another release presented by Kess, shifts focus from romance to bold with its statement making design of a simple double row chain joined with eye catching bars studded with diamonds and dazzling faceted gems. Again, it is menu driven to allow to freely change appearance to suit mood, taste and style. The set includes necklace and drop earrings to accompany and complement. <br /><br />Broaches are a sadly forgotten fashion accessory in Second Life and I always delight when I discover one. Hooty Hoo Owl Broach is a whimsical and entertaining selection and gives us a hint of the humor of the designer. Delicately worked to include a monocle, bowtie and gem encrusted vest, Hooty is perched on a single branch, eyeing the world with a touch of innocence in his big eyes as he takes in the fashionista's that cross his path. Able to change from silver to gold along with multiple gem choices, he is the perfect touch to any outfit requiring a broach.Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-35095652717388327612009-03-22T09:14:00.003-05:002009-03-22T09:17:44.731-05:00The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase - Candy Cerveau<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUTr2GrZrPVNr5IvDGJeENDkQOJ5PHh6-LuGUYCfyfQe1dDtdMj-MOwKptKN7mtlMroJF-oEqiN0bkgg6_DNzZylek0v0-pfLtF3an0IFzKl7R0IpfLjmQw4Ysx2d71QU7dSb27-6WxGs/s1600-h/FinalHellenic.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUTr2GrZrPVNr5IvDGJeENDkQOJ5PHh6-LuGUYCfyfQe1dDtdMj-MOwKptKN7mtlMroJF-oEqiN0bkgg6_DNzZylek0v0-pfLtF3an0IFzKl7R0IpfLjmQw4Ysx2d71QU7dSb27-6WxGs/s400/FinalHellenic.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5316015463020927858" /></a><br />The following is the second segment of a five part review covering The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase. The five participating jewelers are Caliah Lyon of Muse Fine Jewelry, Candy Cerveau owner and designer of **Eye Candy**, Kesseret Steeplechase the face behind KessKreations, Saiyge Lotus, genius of Balderdash and Violet Voltaire of EGL Jewelry & Accessories. The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase is running until March 22.<br /> <br />Candy Cerveau, owner and creator behind .::eyecandy::. and co-owner of the Magic of Oz sim delighted the visitors of The Armoire: A Jewelry Showcase with her new design Hellenic. Versatility is something Candy strives for in her designs and something she delivers very well in her latest release. Available in three metal tones, copper, gold and silver as well as three different stone textures. Veined green turquoise is paired with a subtle copper, black mosaic with white accents set in shimmery silver and carnelian enveloped in a soft gold to allow the wonderful qualities of the mineral to shine. Framing the throat, the Hellenic necklace is a bold piece comprised of sculpted links studded with cabochons that accent the hand wrought metal textures perfectly. Released as a necklace and cuff which can be worn as a set or separately, Hellenic is equally comfortable with trendy casual or haute couture. Also pictured, Mokume ring in oval, tinted.Saint BUT, while I think several are simply delicious I don’t dream about them at night. Jewelry on the other hand makes me melt (you dirty minded people who thought I was going to say something else, shame on you!) Diamonds, pearls, gold or platinum makes my world go around. My husband often comments that I must have been a raccoon in my previous life to be so utterly fascinated with anything shiny. Of course I ignore such sarcasm, it would be beneath me to rise to his bait, unless, that is, he used a yellow diamond for that hook.<br /><br />While following a blog hint about a possible new “must see” jewelry store <a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%25Tall%25Walk/120/197/346/">Jador</a>, I was overjoyed to see that the information wasn’t wrong. Indeed the display items whispered in a softly accented voice wheedling their way into my heart and soon my inventory. Awestruck from the sparkling jewels I knew I had to see more, so being the inquisitive sort I followed a TP to the adjoining shoe store owned by the same designer, Anthony77777 Bandit.<br /><br />I drooled, not a ladylike little trickle but a full blown OMG, I’m going to die happy, shirt drenching slobber! The jewel work on the shoes made my heart flutter, my pulse race and parts of me tingle that are generally reserved for chocolate and Eddie Vedder. Several styles dotted the display shelves from classic to flashy, all embedded with the wonderful stones that make the jewelry so eye-catching. For those of you who know me well will attest, I’m picky and for the most part if an item is flawed I can never open my heart to it. But once in a while I find something so different, unique and wonderful I have to overlook a few minor flaws. So in the spirit of full disclosure I have to mention one drawback to these wonderful shoes. The invisible prim has an issue on the heel, I’m sure with a bit of work Mr. Bandit can solve the problem, and it isn’t so large a distraction that I feel they aren’t still beautiful shoes, but again, I felt it should be noted. </div><div> </div><div>Don't forget to check out all the surrounding shops, the furniture store has several items that will perk up any ho hum apartment or office.<br /></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-19737667321977622272008-07-17T20:26:00.003-05:002008-07-17T20:31:11.229-05:00Lilleth Mills Couture Photo ContestAs some of you may, or may not know, I have recently taken a position at Lilleth Mills Couture. I, of course, answered with a resounding yes. As I read the press release I found myself thinking not of fashion but of dedication. The members of the Second Life society that bring us such wonderful events week after week spend a tremendous amount of time, energy and effort to keep us entertained and amused. Yes, in many cases companies or designers pay them but in most cases they do not. Yet, they still strive to turn out events that are well produced entertaining and as we have seen these past months with RFL beneficial. I hope I speak for all of us when I say “THANK YOU” to all those who work behind the glitter and glam to keep even the most jaded among us amused and entertained.<br /><br /><br /><strong>The following is a press release from JennyH GossipGirl, for more information please contact in-world JennyH GossipGirl or visit the website.<br /><br /></strong><br />For Release: ImmediatePress Contact: JennyH GossipGirl,<br />Impressione Launches Weekend of Beauty Impressione Brings the Excitement of New York's Renowned Fashion Week Directly to You Through the Great Wonders of TechnologyJuly 11, 2008 . . . Impressione, a full service virtual worlds marketing agency, is proud to announce the launch of a brand-new event -- Weekend of Beauty (WoB). The Impressione Weekend of Beauty will coincide with the renowned New York Fashion Week. The WoB events begin on Friday, September 5th, 2008 and conclude on Sunday, September 7th. This 72-hour event will celebrate health and beauty in all its shapes and sizes throughout the ages and include a multitude of exciting events. For anyone who can't make it to New York in person, WoB is the next best thing! The Impressione Weekend of Beauty is a festival of life. The weekend's events of music, art, and fashion will display the amazing diversity that makes our world so rich and so special. It is all too easy to become trapped into preconceived notions of beauty, which threatens to harm the self-image, and can even result in dangerous, destructive, and extreme behaviors. An important mission of the Impressione Weekend of Beauty is to promote a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness of at-risk behaviors -- eating disorders in particular. Kiosks will be available throughout the event venues to provide sensitive and non-judgmental information concerning eating disorders. Whether ourselves, a loved one, or someone we know, we have all been touched by the struggle over food-diet-exercise-weight and its impact on self-image and even physical well-being. Impressione kicks off WoB festivities with the Natural Beauty competition, which will select one male and one female as the faces of Impressione Natural Beauty. The first-round runway shows will be held on August 9th and 10th. The contest ends during the Weekend of Beauty with a finale runway show featuring all contest finalists followed by an exclusive party with music provided by the top DJs and artists. The winners will receive over 25,000L in cash and other valuable prizes. Impressione recognizes that beauty comes in an amazing variety of shapes, colors, sizes and styles and seeks to celebrate and showcase this diversity through this competition. Contest entries are currently being accepted and additional details can be found on the Impressione website at ImpressioneGroup.com.As with Fashion Week, the focus of the weekend will be the fashion shows. There are four fashion shows confirmed:Natural Beauty - finalists in the Natural Beauty competitionTimeless Beauty - a retrospective look at beauty across time and culturesActive Beauty - fashions fit for the active lifestyleContemporary Couture - the very best in contemporary high-fashionUnlike Fashion Week where you have to wait for months for the runway designs to actually be available, WoB will feature on-site vendors so that you can purchase the clothing you see on the spot. Several top designers will release never-before-seen designs during the event. In addition to the Natural Beauty by Impressione competition and headline fashion shows, WoB also includes a charity art auction and gala with one-of-a-kind creations by famed artists including Sysperia Poppy. For the contest lover, Contest Central is sponsoring both machinima and photo contests during the event. A multi-sim treasure hunt is sure to be fun and increase your inventory. As with any good fashion event, the shows fall only slightly above the parties in terms of importance on one's agenda! This weekend features a great music festival and some fabulous dance parties along with a formal charity gala to compliment the fashions and education that will be offered and showcased. Top artists and DJs will provide music from all genres and cultures for your listening pleasure. The 72-hour event will be packed full of exciting things to do, see, and buy!The time to get involved in this important event is now. If you would like to be involved please contact JennyH GossipGirl today. We welcome everyone to be a part of this great weekend!###About Impressione:Impressione is a full service virtual worlds marketing agency, offering a complete range of services to develop your brand, both in-world and out. I was a bit skeptical as the store, SKG Shoes was new to me, but I purchased the demo to give them a try. Today, SLä, up to its normal tricks left me plenty of time to play dress up; for once I’m glad it did. After being awed by the shoes in the demo I teleported into the shop for a closer look and much to my delight I found a plethora of yummy shoes just waiting to be snatched up and added to my already bulging inventory.<br /><br />I was especially pleased with the invisible prims on these shoes, perfect for those AO’s that have stances in which you cross your ankles. Prices where well within the range you would expect from shoes of quality (250L and up) and they had several pairs of freebie shoes that are outstanding at any price. Texturing was well done in a patent leather style and shading again was done nicely.<br /><br />For a shop that has been flying under the radar (at least mine) the selection was wide and varied in styles, heel type and colors. Overall I think I’ve found a new store to lust over in SKG Shoes.<br /><br />Don’t forget to check upstairs as both floors are utilized.<br /><br /><br /><br />In World: Yes<br />Review Copy: No<br />Price: 250L<br />Friends List: No<br /></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-28404351129483766002008-03-11T20:47:00.007-05:002008-12-08T15:04:22.460-06:00A Penny For Your Thoughts.....<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLC5EbbAsLG206XCywqNehbjw7err4x5_1d9tbOf6Ykpf3ZNFPnDjifyhmQN35Je5KJdGtRWIauFGItH1_ag0JlDgsDsiTIcIElxORsbwcn-RJ45Ep6ML4qemG-LtyH39t8AapHPFFdkY/s1600-h/shopping_002.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5176698098787436306" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLC5EbbAsLG206XCywqNehbjw7err4x5_1d9tbOf6Ykpf3ZNFPnDjifyhmQN35Je5KJdGtRWIauFGItH1_ag0JlDgsDsiTIcIElxORsbwcn-RJ45Ep6ML4qemG-LtyH39t8AapHPFFdkY/s400/shopping_002.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjFGez2neE19gGH2eiOiemCF1PccI4c_7a9Rx0ka6UI0s1Qbxdo4GyPTBIQpUOIyQo73O84E5Z12YYMHuRaEPaVJmMKEv6ZoxUKFzAFpv-25PKLwn6DiFXstv-hRil0dpsmr79EtPafXaQ/s1600-h/Snapshot_002.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5176696561189144322" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4giRl75YAgk/R9dSGFeqRwI/AAAAAAAAAEI/T1XCyDL_" border="0" /></a><br /><div>I don’t blog much, I’d love to say it’s because my real life is so overwhelming busy that I just don’t have the time but, alas, that isn’t the case. Several things factor into my meagerness in the blogging department, a lack of material that hasn’t been written about ad nauseam and a terrible sense of ennui about many of the fashions being released. Not that a myriad of the designs aren’t wonderfully done but the indistinguishability of them all has settled me into a dreary fit of doldrums.<br /><br />While pondering my motivation or lack thereof, I asked myself what, besides au courant designs do I look for during my shopping experience? The answers seemed to come fairly easily.<br /><br />Lightening! If even with proper settings I cannot see the display pictures well then I am not going to purchase an item(s) no matter how delicious everyone else says that they are.<br /><br />Large and unedited photos of the item(s) that are up for purchase. If it is glaringly in evidence that the photo of the item for sale has been manipulated beyond credence, it simply gives one the impression that the designer has something to hide.<br /><br />Ease of maneuverability in a store. I have shopped several boutiques that are nightmares to peruse. While the build might be stupendous, if I can’t move about easily or use camera to view your wares I’m not going to take the trouble and I will leave to spend my lindens elsewhere.<br /><br />Customer Service is also pivotal! No matter how much I adore a designer if they have a reputation of poor customer service they are to be avoided. One very well know designer in particular, who has wonderful items, I will no longer patronize because of a lack of timely response to a problem.<br /><br />A well-established landmark and landing point. Seems self-explanatory I know, but how often have arrived at a landing point only to have to search several stores in order to find the one you needed. An often blogged hair designer has just such a problem. My first visit to his establishment took me on a tour of all the neighboring marts till I finally found the intended salon.<br /><br />Far thinking designers with the ability to offer demos, while not a must, certainly earns the person(s) major kudos with one and all. When a creator has no hesitation about putting his or her products out to be see or tried on for all to see you know you have a person who is confident and proud of their products.<br /><br />As random as this post seems it was brought about by specific events. The latest, and what spurred me to jot these thoughts down was the wonderful customer service of Sachi Vixen of <a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Genesis/175/160/39">Adam n’ Eve</a>. I cannot, sadly say, that I was an avid and well-known shopper of the brand, purchasing randomly items that I had seen in blogs that appealed to me but not a fanatical faithful, as are many. But two events in the past months have elevated the shop and its designers to my must shop list. Neither, I’m sure, made an impression on Sachi Vixen or Damen Gorilla but made an immense one with me. When active designers on there own initiative move to solve a problem or fix a mistake inadvertently made by a shopper without prompting then these are the type of retailers you need to reward with your lindens.<br /><br />On several occasions I have had sterling service at many of Second Life’s unparalleled designers submitted below are just a few of them, in no particular order of importance. Without a doubt I am sure I have unwittingly omitted a shop or designer that has gone above and beyond for me, for that please except my most humble apologies.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/hex/95/159/39/">Hexed</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Glam%20World%202/208/124/23">Maitreya</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Muse/148/148/24">Muse Fine Jewelry</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Plush%20Chi/158/93/21/?title=PERSONA">Persona</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Fuzzy/235/171/36">Blowpop</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/carnivale/208/94/33/">Illusions</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caledon%20Morgaine/66/148/22">Balderdash</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Armidi/135/127/26">Armidi</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Blaze/68/118/23">Blaze</a><br /><a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/talisman/84/140/24/">Shapes by Zada</a></div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Hair: Armidi - The Poynter (Tropez)</div><div>Eyes: Shapes by Zada - Eyefidelity Real Eyes (Moss Green)</div><div>Skin: TAP/Fluer - Vivant (Blush Candy 1)</div><div>Shape: Shirs Doodle by Shir Dryke</div><div>Pants: Elephant Outfitters - Leila Bermuda Shorts (Spring Moss 1)</div><div>Shirt: ::elDee:: - Pomme Shirt (Pink/Green)</div><div>Belt: Persona - Helena waist sas plumh (tinted)</div><div>Shoes: Maitreya - Slinky Stilettos (Lime Green)</div><div>Jewelry: Muse Fine Jewelry - Eclectic Set (Lime)</div><div>Bag: Chapeau tres Mignon - Apple (Green) </div></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-39544316755202667872008-01-18T14:21:00.000-06:002008-12-08T15:04:22.631-06:00Balderdash-Bagatelle and Trinke<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisL7S-dkIXuzMssQd2vxbCh_53k6tfiuvys0t1K6ByV-cum7CF8Z9FfdzdF3JNOY64puM4aRxQmULI5CH9pghxrh4uYl5e7DdLiB7b0DcYovUPzWAAFM6jOyJstSjXfLB36sdZpRoLLZo/s1600-h/balderdash_018.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156914908100675650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisL7S-dkIXuzMssQd2vxbCh_53k6tfiuvys0t1K6ByV-cum7CF8Z9FfdzdF3JNOY64puM4aRxQmULI5CH9pghxrh4uYl5e7DdLiB7b0DcYovUPzWAAFM6jOyJstSjXfLB36sdZpRoLLZo/s400/balderdash_018.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Saiyge Lotus, the brilliant creator behind the trinkets offered at Balderdash (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caledon%20Morgaine/66/148/22/) much to my pleasure has fixed her eyes upon jewelry.<br /><br />My woefully lacking skills in photography simply don’t do this justice. Fine detailed work is delicately fashioned resulting in a beautiful set offered in two metal choices and four-color schemes per metal. I know I know borrring, but hey what can I say I’m a child of the 80’s our taste isn’t that great<br /><br />Yesterday while tweaking my new male avatar, cause after all “Y chromosome avatars are the new black” (this phrase has been sanitized for your protection as several of my editors, that would be whichever friend that can spell that’s handy, felt that your eyes were to delicate to read any direct reference to male genitalia) I spied a notice for a sale on hair at Sinsation, <a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hairspray/91/34/52/">http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hairspray/91/34/52/</a> . Now as I’ve stated I’m the Queen of Boring so I hadn’t examined the selection at said shop but being in the mood to spend even more money than I already have this month I hopped on the LM Express and took a ride on over.<br /><br />I browsed a bit and bought a few demos and lo and behold I found a few I just had to have. Now these aren’t my normal meat and potatoes, it’s a dash of spice to my palate.<br /><br />First up we have Fantasia in Green, I purchased the All Colors pack for 300L and I knew right away what I was going to wear it with. I’ll admit the textures aren’t great, ok, that might be an understatement but I loved the whimsy and feel to it. I had to mod a bit as they had a few issues but it was minor modifying as anyone who knows me can tell you that’s all I’m capable of.<br /><br />Next for your viewing pleasure is Camdyn II in Platinum, again I bought the All Colors pack. This outfit took me a bit longer to put together since I’m about as Goth as Barbra Bush at a Texas BBQ. The curls and bits and bobs in the hair really work together and the hair, while not many peoples cup of tea, deserves a second look.<br /><br />I really liked the originality of these designs. Yes, the execution could have been a bit better, the textures really do need to be updated but these are styles you wear to get a giggle or have a spot of fun with.</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Friends List: NO</div><br /><br /><div>In World: Yes</div><br /><br /><div>Demo: No</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-91589812934750106662007-11-02T12:03:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:23.654-06:00These Boots Are Made For Walking...<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgOwjXtDdhmOzI4S-JLSAacmf6tOFD6ZkngN6Xh1vT3vZjuCzma4h3u7r_SM-CVGgZ2WAPPs-Bh4x84KxYAY2MvmM0fOuobljTzidMTU92DtCprmza1i0GdvgIPsQcg8LXWZRtiqOUZRQ/s1600-h/vans_015.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128291776464605826" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgOwjXtDdhmOzI4S-JLSAacmf6tOFD6ZkngN6Xh1vT3vZjuCzma4h3u7r_SM-CVGgZ2WAPPs-Bh4x84KxYAY2MvmM0fOuobljTzidMTU92DtCprmza1i0GdvgIPsQcg8LXWZRtiqOUZRQ/s320/vans_015.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1fDl8zliQbT5jHpjnhECA7ufvRxiXpNjwkqijqPs_HVM7ZFRj4COc_tFtVmJtZzc2_zUWanGcCMmEFZxgbxGQFcYPR-Kihwcd6F8aLI_EHbaW-1q8qWxiIvTvg6K5Ui_lf7ha-K_iQgU/s1600-h/boots_004.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5128291462931993202" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1fDl8zliQbT5jHpjnhECA7ufvRxiXpNjwkqijqPs_HVM7ZFRj4COc_tFtVmJtZzc2_zUWanGcCMmEFZxgbxGQFcYPR-Kihwcd6F8aLI_EHbaW-1q8qWxiIvTvg6K5Ui_lf7ha-K_iQgU/s320/boots_004.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>First off, let me clarify I’m not a shoe whore. I like them, but on my shopping scale clothes rate much higher. But last week, yes I said last week, I know I’m a wee bit late in blogging them so sue me, when Armidi Gisaci released the Kyoto boot I thought I’d give them a look but didn’t expect to fall in love, but I did. I’m now a boot whore, but at least I’ll look smashing while walking the streets.<br /><br />The detail and texturing is wonderful, just a bit long in the foot but I can overlook that because the overall look is superb. Offered in the pack is a small and large size for those of us with larger than twig size calf. This comes in handy as all the sections are no mod.<br /><br />Since many of us are on a budget I’d suggest the black, I own several pair in various colors and while all of them are drool worthy the versatility as well as the textures on the black make it a beautiful pair of boots.<br /><br />As a side note, for those of you that are children of the 80’s and remember fondly your old pair of Van’s check out Armidi LTD version. A steal at the price as they come in a pack with both male and female sizes and the workmanship speaks for itself.</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Friends List: No</div><div>Review Copy: Don't I Wish</div><div>In World: Yes</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div></div></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-81262485374750008752007-10-17T15:12:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:24.074-06:00Creamshop Goodies<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6wJJTY0umALgYSXJQ9kDdmB_koKX019XyCEP-nvBnoaHjJGbd7BZpMJ7eiqRaRAKQAa8haKG6hMZufdwJVKbzP1ucQWjjoqSQYpfi2WYys4Swhp2nOCDQLsTX4rDCj0WfbBPWlKLRpb4/s1600-h/snowball_005.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5122402506177626162" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6wJJTY0umALgYSXJQ9kDdmB_koKX019XyCEP-nvBnoaHjJGbd7BZpMJ7eiqRaRAKQAa8haKG6hMZufdwJVKbzP1ucQWjjoqSQYpfi2WYys4Swhp2nOCDQLsTX4rDCj0WfbBPWlKLRpb4/s320/snowball_005.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5EZZcR25nBny9SeS3L7dKnmGkQQKGToVqPRMpb7urmuUWtmL75pwMc6SG2WhohR8GmY2p319D-M1QK7Fu8sBad-8VSFJjz1_sA55nFLLegUqmD7OcJnwn1Q7jW9pU4XTI6nNv8yFgy3g/s1600-h/poncho_019.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5122401797508022306" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5EZZcR25nBny9SeS3L7dKnmGkQQKGToVqPRMpb7urmuUWtmL75pwMc6SG2WhohR8GmY2p319D-M1QK7Fu8sBad-8VSFJjz1_sA55nFLLegUqmD7OcJnwn1Q7jW9pU4XTI6nNv8yFgy3g/s320/poncho_019.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>With a nip in the air my thoughts turn to warm fires, hot spice tea and bundling up in a nice comfy coat but since I’m sure everyone is sick to death of hearing about coats I thought I’d show you one of my new favorites.<br /><br />I loved ponchos as a kid, wouldn’t wear anything else in the 3rd grade. Times haven’t changed much, I still adore the winter wear alternative to a bulky coat and I still require and afternoon nap or I get cranky…but enough about me.</div><br /><br /><div><br />So I’m doing my normal “Have Lindens must spend them” spree that occurs after a spell of self restraint, more commonly referred to as being broke and I end up in eclectic store named the Creamshop. Located in Kabuki (<a href="http://slurl.com/secondlife/kubuki/180/116/28/">http://slurl.com/secondlife/kubuki/180/116/28/</a>) it might be off the beaten track but worthy of a trip over if for no other reason to pick up the Midnight Poncho Set shown. It’s perfect for pumpkin hunting or a casual day of shopping. While your at Creamshop let your peepers wander because I’m sure you’ll find something else you’ll like, I also came home with the Skull Rhinestone necklace and earrings. Wish the chain was a bit better done but I adore the pendant so I’ll shut my trap and enjoy it for what it is a bit of whimsical jewelry to have fun with.</div><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><div>Friends List: No</div><br /><br /><div>Review Copy: No</div><br /><br /><div>In World: Yes</div><br /><br /><div></div></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-7733832340751299642007-10-14T21:19:00.001-05:002008-12-08T15:04:24.211-06:00Decoy Is The Real Thing.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh10MYf5BHJkkwNeO3P0M9a23bc64JDKqLR-7EH3hVoVuqU7G3Kfw8acGXQDH9uvGtoAbQbe61gG_8A8S0Gk8nDVAA27iLKDkkA9JmfK_9x3BnnhMJ_JBCzEJdqJY9M-fzJoX5GDzF34MU/s1600-h/Decoy_014.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5121383190179201042" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh10MYf5BHJkkwNeO3P0M9a23bc64JDKqLR-7EH3hVoVuqU7G3Kfw8acGXQDH9uvGtoAbQbe61gG_8A8S0Gk8nDVAA27iLKDkkA9JmfK_9x3BnnhMJ_JBCzEJdqJY9M-fzJoX5GDzF34MU/s320/Decoy_014.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>While checking out Persona this week I strolled along the street peeking in the shops to see what my wandering eyes my spy to squirrel away in my every increasing inventory when I happened upon Decoy (Southern Paradise 17, 108, 23) owned by Annette Voight. Since the name didn’t ring a bell I thought I would pop in and see what she had to offer, I’m glad I talked myself into it.<br /><br />Although still new and upcoming Annette hasn’t made the mistakes of many others and cranked things out only to fill her walls, instead she has taken her time and what graces her store are quality clothing and very affordable prices. Only a handful of designs are currently available but all of the items I purchased were of good quality and showed outstanding promise.<br /><br />My personal favorite is the Just Peachy Cardigan, priced at a moderate $115L it comes in Forest Green, Red, Kaki, Rose Pink and Sky Blue. This comfy cardigan is brought together in the front under the breast with a button closure that allows the wearer to show off a cami or pretty blouse underneath.<br /><br />In conversation Ms. Voight informed me that she is trying to have a small release sometime soon, maybe even today. So now is the perfect time to check her out if you haven’t already stopped by and seen one of Second Life’s promising new designers. </div><div> </div><div>Friends List: No</div><div>Review Copy: No</div><div>In World: Yes</div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-7271610543564617482007-10-07T15:51:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:24.775-06:00Birds Of A Feather...<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG4SfL7Jt4zjFOjevBkGGXlb2uQiOyIiET5d8EkJp81LNE2CotoCCAJ0oBolrLoXa9BYHax9KyBGd2mx8lsmVxZDX1-YPM-hmJ8lIZ3H4IuWQwhvaMNMri7O_91Cv5-fQIRGyI91DaxjM/s1600-h/PPS.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5118759776910163970" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG4SfL7Jt4zjFOjevBkGGXlb2uQiOyIiET5d8EkJp81LNE2CotoCCAJ0oBolrLoXa9BYHax9KyBGd2mx8lsmVxZDX1-YPM-hmJ8lIZ3H4IuWQwhvaMNMri7O_91Cv5-fQIRGyI91DaxjM/s320/PPS.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>During one of my many visit to Illusions I chanced upon a charming lady by the name of Violaine Villota of Fancy Fairy. We stuck up a conversation due to the fact she had on the most ethereal wings. These weren’t your normal frou frou wings done to look like angels on high but a combination of both gossamer and functionality combined. The skeletal framework of the wings was borrowed from the insect genre to lend a more credible feel. I was, needless to say, drooling. I inquired as to the maker and was informed she herself had designed and crafted these visions of splendor.<br /><br />Ok so by this time I was itching to get my hands on a pair, and folks, I’m not a wing gal. I usually feel that they are awkward, cumbersome and in them I look something akin to a fairy with two left wings. Violaine, knowing a fish ready to reel in when she saw one, dropped on my inventory several pairs of wings and outfits for review.<br /><br />As soon as I put Peacock Fairy Gown Showgirl on I thought I was going to swoon, I was graceful, I was lithe and I had pointed ears to boot! The gown comes with a shape to complement the outfit so you don’t have to adjust your current one to fit the contours of the creation. Some of the keynotes to the gown are the stunning overskirt, while it has teensy gaps at the side seams they aren’t noticeable to the naked eye and do nothing to detract from the overall appearance of the skirt; I felt I must in all fairness mention them. Tendrils sweep the face to soften the lines and frame the eyes giving the wearer a come hither look about her.<br /><br />Fossarius, for those more Pagan at heart, a mane of flowing hair sweeps down to mid back with frosted tips. A side part shadows the face to lend a bit of innocence to the overall appearance. This one should be a mainstay in any inventory.<br /><br />Lolth screams drama with it’s long length and high crown it’s a notice me hairstyle and for the diva in all of us.<br /><br />Overall I can’t crow about these enough, they are guaranteed to bring you a howling good time!<br /></div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div>Friends List: No</div><div>Review Copy: Yes (Demo's Also)</div><div>In Word: Yes</div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div><div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></div><div></div></div></div></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-72180345046078939912007-10-04T19:17:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:26.501-06:00The Eye's Have it!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1KD14DD_aPIm5wxbkdkn8VbIWUMkRzXOMeNQu77RHz7G07LGTPIrWJ9IfQZfAzyVjZhqjhsD745Ua7OconT6HqkoO4fP2bpLEOTU7Cgjj-lUj_KCj7kJ_QhqSVDnfUHk9H9IFurihHho/s1600-h/zada+gunmetel_002.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117641006649032594" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1KD14DD_aPIm5wxbkdkn8VbIWUMkRzXOMeNQu77RHz7G07LGTPIrWJ9IfQZfAzyVjZhqjhsD745Ua7OconT6HqkoO4fP2bpLEOTU7Cgjj-lUj_KCj7kJ_QhqSVDnfUHk9H9IFurihHho/s320/zada+gunmetel_002.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEY2iiArETSv5MmPuSkh3JutMPtVgnUDJ4ZKfBOC1Xe9E_tGqAYjEHPX05qJAZvJJuYZ8V3QHUZwx-WFAedNwhpU14e-1PhFk1KEhcuVjEKrNN9k2jMQ2TkUGEv7uC9LNNgghpR1XY4uE/s1600-h/zada+gunmetel_001.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117640714591256450" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEY2iiArETSv5MmPuSkh3JutMPtVgnUDJ4ZKfBOC1Xe9E_tGqAYjEHPX05qJAZvJJuYZ8V3QHUZwx-WFAedNwhpU14e-1PhFk1KEhcuVjEKrNN9k2jMQ2TkUGEv7uC9LNNgghpR1XY4uE/s320/zada+gunmetel_001.bmp" border="0" /></a><br />(eyes worn are Gunmetal IdealEye (i) and Gunmetal RealEye (i))</div><div><br /> </div><div>Zada Zenovka, of Shapes by Zada dropped a folder of eyes on me this morning. So first thing I did when I logged in was pop in some eyes. I already own one pair of Zada’s eyes along with several of her shapes so I was interested to see what her new line of eyes would look like.<br /><br />Eyes are windows to the soul, or so the saying goes, and by far that is one of my major complaints for many of the avatars I see ingame. They spend 1000L on a good skin, 500L-800L on a professional shape and we won’t go into the cost of clothing, hair, shoes and accessories and then they won’t spend the scant 75L-125L on a pair of well made eyes. When you look at them at close range it’s like looking at a dead fish, or a pane of glass, dazed and confused or dead and lifeless.<br /><br />Happily the new Eyefidelity release by Zada has some outstanding eyes. Just a few of the features worth mentioning are that each color comes with three options (i) indoor (n) neutral (0) outdoor. The pupil in each is dilated to simulate the lightening for each of these situations. Eyefidelity Eye’s come in RealEyes, smaller than standard Second Life eyes to more closely resemble real eyes and IdealEyes, which are standard SL size. I found both convey life and a human quality that I find lacking in several other eyes on the market.<br /><br />Friends List: No<br />Review Copy: Yes<br />In World : Yes </div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-59534461519963455952007-10-04T18:49:00.000-05:002007-10-04T18:50:54.016-05:00If You Don't Have Anything Nice...All of us have been told if we don’t have something nice, don’t say anything at all, myself included. My mother tried, in vain, in many cases to drill this into my thick skull as a child growing up in the South, where being polite is as much prized as the last name Lee, Beauregard or Stuart. But is this always an asset in a blog? I had to sit myself down and evaluate my “mission statement” (god I hate that phrase) for Fashion Predator. Did I want to be everyone’s friend and receive tons of free review copies? Hell yes! But did I want to do it at the cost of someone, who maybe had to camp for two days to save up money to buy an item that maybe if I had written an honest review on, could have had more information and allowing them to be a more informed consumer thus maybe saving them money? Then…Hell NO!<br /><br />Allowing for the fact that I’m picky, I’ve kept my blog open for feedback and comments and look forward to them. Knowing that some designers might not want to send me review copies in fear of bad reviews is ok with me also, the good one’s won’t have anything to fear. I’m picky but not anal, honest but not vindictive. I’ll lay it out for others to make a choice if they would like to spend their lindens on a product or not. And if I’m biased, I’ll try to note that also.Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-68154834016026700332007-10-03T19:19:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:26.837-06:00Mistress Of Muse...<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPLP8zehkgZxit1ER8TSAvOdzipamrCcONeOySFfQmmSuxViMcaG2WEXFieJxx4rcfNjCRI-gOLGPtpjyWf0kxSSiMoxQzUQN39TtSzNJ6BbhmiGBPTRbg6xUQci7r4gR0Zu6O2mBggu0/s1600-h/Muse_008.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117270063208578930" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPLP8zehkgZxit1ER8TSAvOdzipamrCcONeOySFfQmmSuxViMcaG2WEXFieJxx4rcfNjCRI-gOLGPtpjyWf0kxSSiMoxQzUQN39TtSzNJ6BbhmiGBPTRbg6xUQci7r4gR0Zu6O2mBggu0/s320/Muse_008.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>I hate blogging something that I know is going to be done to death, but for this I’m going to make an exception! Caliah Lyon of Muse sent out notice today of a gift for the members in her group. Being a huge fan of anything Ms. Lyon does I was frothing at the mouth to open my gift and try it on. Firstly, please let me warn you, I’m biased, like an alcoholic needs spirits I crave jewelry made by Caliah Lyon. My addiction started innocently enough, I spied a simple, but delicate ballet shoe necklace that called my name. Then came another equally simple but more intricate necklace and earring set. An outfit screamed for yet another of her sets. And don’t even get me started on her pearls; we have a love hate relationship.<br /><br />The Dauphine Necklace and Earrings Set (Silver/Jet) are without doubt one of the most intricate and fine pieces of jewelry I’ve seen in the game. The details are superb and flawless; no detail has escaped notice of the maker. Jet is the stone used in the necklace and earring’s and the faucets show a life that I have yet to see any other jeweler’s textures. When most other designers give away their mistakes Ms. Lyon not only excels but soars above the crowd by giving away the best in jewelry to be found in Second Life. In my view, that shows a true love and pride in her work that I wish others would adopt in attitude towards their own crafts inworld.<br /><br />Friends List: NO<br />Review Copy: No (Group Gift)<br />In World: Yes</div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-58023228713241886572007-10-02T19:54:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:26.932-06:00Illusions Is The Cat's Meow!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiDOPFQu2HXN2UlerZcgS8H_qIUUSa1b4CTTexK2MfUx5BbZexEZIyLWoajGv3PDMJ4jiITtrSArJ3K94klm9jasBmMZnKTAEDlmfwEpYkdORE4ug7vsgFPqeWr3Fo1qdVJuJcjQC_zA8/s1600-h/Illusion_005.bmp"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116908134904479586" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiDOPFQu2HXN2UlerZcgS8H_qIUUSa1b4CTTexK2MfUx5BbZexEZIyLWoajGv3PDMJ4jiITtrSArJ3K94klm9jasBmMZnKTAEDlmfwEpYkdORE4ug7vsgFPqeWr3Fo1qdVJuJcjQC_zA8/s320/Illusion_005.bmp" border="0" /></a><br /><div>Siyu Suen of Illusions is well known for her hats and mask but what about her jewelry? The slim, flattering skirt comes in 10 different colors and looks even looks good on those of us with a bit more junk in our trunks than the norm. Sweetheart Darling I purchased in black, but it comes in a total of 5 different colors and patterns. I fell in love with the jacket and couldn’t wait to find other things to wear it with.<br /><br />Time for a bit of honesty here, I really didn’t think I would find much in Ingenue I’d like. I lean more towards “mainstream uptight” as a friend once put it. But I found several things I have enjoyed wearing, and that are very well made. The seams are matched up and the small details such as fabric folds, bust seams and hem seams add so much to the overall look of the outfit. The only minor flaw I could find in the two outfits I purchased is that the sleeves on Sweetheart Darling’s white shirt layer (did I mention she has everything on several different layers? Well she does!) Were a bit ragged on the edge. But this was only noticeable if you panned it for a very tight shot. I’m a bit picky if you haven’t figured out, and this was so minor that even I wasn’t bothered by it.<br /><br />If you haven’t been to Ingenue stop by and pay her a visit I don’t think you’ll be sorry. Think outside the box a bit and it will amaze you the possibilities her outfits have. </div><div></div><div>Friends List: No</div><div>Review Copy: No</div><div>In World: Yes</div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-801309506980086260.post-16147284907158814272007-09-30T09:48:00.000-05:002008-12-08T15:04:27.409-06:00Dlicious...Dnot<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF5_OxjzBNkUTL6AS00zXT0yGlHA-DkvlcqY0bFJlayKalk6Af0WrLHzAUSSfKiVmXFnLke7b0kan0xNAGq_uGjsjQd9w5qXnYqcc3kLwMuou3v-wNNtzwpDH1V8waVdsCnAoHs5-Ygl8/s1600-h/Dskin+Pale_004.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116014700102532930" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF5_OxjzBNkUTL6AS00zXT0yGlHA-DkvlcqY0bFJlayKalk6Af0WrLHzAUSSfKiVmXFnLke7b0kan0xNAGq_uGjsjQd9w5qXnYqcc3kLwMuou3v-wNNtzwpDH1V8waVdsCnAoHs5-Ygl8/s320/Dskin+Pale_004.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS_M3WnwJ16QxPs66B3AXo3cxQlkNL3lsmlC5rnmlJCJsTblpWSjPKNo1ZrCKLlm6rBlwF6In47cWKcaX2vjjWPCAMwlpq1OO-BbA-omIffzUXhjAtp7BWiXC2C64xQ92oa8w7XvZzGF4/s1600-h/Dskin+Pale_003.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116014442404495154" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiS_M3WnwJ16QxPs66B3AXo3cxQlkNL3lsmlC5rnmlJCJsTblpWSjPKNo1ZrCKLlm6rBlwF6In47cWKcaX2vjjWPCAMwlpq1OO-BbA-omIffzUXhjAtp7BWiXC2C64xQ92oa8w7XvZzGF4/s320/Dskin+Pale_003.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgBXGXztB1zsAPXLcptFuwfEJuGSR-BPqI4iIkctjgsQdkyL8vn8KryWzvjVJJBTkzvKdZcd1BvwqdnoMbQZHxzG72fCdMwU8GbQ2LOM1jmw8C0cfFA6knRq6d821SVA4IgCzz6YODeI8/s1600-h/Dskin+Pale_011.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5116014206181293858" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgBXGXztB1zsAPXLcptFuwfEJuGSR-BPqI4iIkctjgsQdkyL8vn8KryWzvjVJJBTkzvKdZcd1BvwqdnoMbQZHxzG72fCdMwU8GbQ2LOM1jmw8C0cfFA6knRq6d821SVA4IgCzz6YODeI8/s320/Dskin+Pale_011.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><strong>***SKIN REVIEW BELOW..WOOBLY PARTS WILL BE SHOWN!!!***</strong></div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div>Doofus Mayo of Dlicious sent out a notice today introducing himself/herself to FashCon today so I tripped along to Zero Mall (166,91,24) to check em’ out since I didn’t have anything better to do and I’m also having a bit of a skin identity crisis at the moment.<br /><br />First thing your going to notice is the price, 800L for a single and 3500L for a pack of 5. Don’t know why but It always takes me aback when a new vendor jumps into the game with prices as high or higher than the best on the market. Just my peeve, silly I know, as they put just as much blood, sweat and tears into the work but…<br /><br />I purchased three skin tone demos Pale, Gold and Tan, all in the make-up style of Elegance. The eyes are subtle in the lighter skin tones and if your looking for drastic changes between the skins this pack would not be the style to choose as the lipstick stays the same and the makeup changes are minimal at best until you get to the darker skin tones, then the eyeshadow starts to pop a bit more.<br /><br />Pale was worn first and I noticed a line between the neck and body right off, it’s faint but since I was looking for signs it was pretty easy to pick out, also the shading on the clavicle bone was a bit over done IMHO as well as the stomach shading. But if you like a very toned look to your stomach, check it out and see how you like the look.<br /><br />Gold and Tan had the same problems as Pale but the shading problems really stood out the darker in skin tone you go. The highlights really glare against the darker skin tones. Although if I had to pick between the two I’d say Tan was the better of the two. Gold has almost an orange undertone that I didn’t care for.<br /><br /><br />But on the plus side the make up was more dramatic on the darker skin tones. Also you can see that that Doofus put time into his work, knee shading is done (another peeve why do so many skins have no knees or elbows?) And I like the face, it worked well on my shapes, but unless I'm going to walk around covered from neck to toe this isn't the skin for me.<br /><br /><br />Overall these aren't skins I'd be happy with, but I can see promise in them, toned down a bit on the shading and smoothed out a bit and I think they would be some very nice skins.<br /><br />Demo’s are 1L so you can check them out yourself.</div></div></div>Saint Barracudahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13264960289432843536noreply@blogger.com2
